The Villas of Maison Maitland
is an all-season destination.

The Villas of Maison Maitland is open February to December. Nestled just behind the manor, the villas are just a few steps away from the St. Lawrence River. A public access point offers a perfect spot for kayaking, or a quick dip. And a leisurely stroll through the quaint village of Maitland, one of Ontario’s oldest unspoiled riverside villages, is a perfect way to end an evening. Guests can also reserve and enjoy our Waterview Dining Pavilion for the perfect afternoon picnic on our front park. (see Concierge Services). During the winter months, cross country skiing and snowshoe trails are moments away behind the village recreational centre.

Prescott lies to the east and Brockville to the west and both are just a short cycle or car ride away. Visit all the popular attractions in Brockville, like Canada’s first railway tunnel, Centeen Underwater Dive Park and the Aquatarium to name a few. An abundance of restaurants, patios and shops dot the quaint streets in the historical downtown. It’s also home to one of Ontario’s oldest farmer markets, a must on Saturdays (if you’re not taking a cooking class!). A 30-minute car ride North, takes you to the beautiful town of Merrickville. With the Rideau Canal at their doorstep, the town is packed with a wide variety of shops and cafes, including two popular women-led food shops, Mrs. McGarrigles Fine Food Shop (mustards and more) and Pickle & Myrrh (the best caramels!). And 30 minutes west of Maitland, is the epicenter of the 1000 islands. Enjoy a visit to Rockport or Gananoque and hop on a cruise to see all the wonders of the islands. Brockville’s waterfront also offers cruises you can jump on, 1000 Islands and Seaway Cruises.
