Local Food SUPPORTER

Meet the Farmers and Producers

We are pleased to partner with the following farms to supply our school with fresh produce, meats, poultry and local artisan foods. Many of them have farm stands at the Farmers Markets, throughout the growing season, so stop by and support them and experience fresh local ingredients every week!

We are a certified FeastON establishment, recognizing our support for local food. We have been awarded this designation every year since the program began in 2012. We are proud to feature and celebrate local food and products. Learn more about this program and find other awarded restaurants and purveyors in Ontario. Visit FeastON.

A Region of Food, Wine & Fun

Leeds and Grenville is a culinary gem waiting to be discovered. This region reminds me so much of my former location as it was 20 years ago, a growing wine and farming community, ready to launch on the next culinary stage. Located 3 hours east of Toronto, an 1 hour from Ottawa, and 2 hours from Montreal, the Leeds Grenville County, as it’s known, has a numerous farmers markets and organic farms, orchards, vineyards, breweries, cideries, and even a distillery.

Farming has always been the centerpiece of this peaceful region. The bounty is always plentiful, and there is a renewed emphasis on family owned, organic farms and orchards. Explore the numerous roadside stands and local food producers and pick up your local goodies to take home.

The Eastern Ontario Wine Region, as its known, is young and growing. It’s not an official VQA region yet, but with 14 wineries, the momentum has begun!

Lots of fun activities await you as well from diving sites, boating, beaches, an aqauarium, boutique shopping, concerts and more….
