Suitable for creative or curious participants of various levels of experience with photography and food styling, all being comfortable using their own iPhone or SLR cameras/tripods.
Is this Workshop or you? Suitable for creative or curious participants of various levels of photography and food styling experience. We ask that all participants have familiarity with their equipment (iPhone or SLR cameras/tripods) as this one day session tutorial focuses on a balance of photography and styling in tandem, rather than a deep dive into strictly tech components.
What to Expect: All food items for shooting will be prepared for participants. Morning: Watch and learn from the Masters to help elevate and create your own quality images that narrate a story and create interest or simply capture an occasion. See how to use everyday items applied with common sense techniques + some tips and tricks. Following lunch, everyone will get to create their own shots for Dessert, using foods/props on hand and will receive feedback and tutorials from Ruth and Peter. There will be a maximum of 15 participants, in ensure lots of opportunity for questions and coaching.
Overall, the emphasis will be on using natural lighting, pairing with appropriate props, and building composition. Also learn how to approach sequencing to capture a variety of images, BTS shots and understanding end usage of images (social media, web, print) and creating appropriate crops. And much more!
