Maison Maitland Takeover Package
Welcome to our newest group offering, our Takeover Package. Come celebrate a milestone with family or friends and make a memory! The package includes both Villas and a Cooking Class for 8, giving you the luxury to experience the property just for your group and celebrate in style. Enjoy our front park dining area overlooking the river for a picnic or dinner party. For dining indoors, the Chardonnay (largest Villa), the dining area will all be expanded to sit 8 and be ready for your arrival. You’ll also be able to add one of our special wellness partner services like a private yoga class, meditation, or a mat Pilates class. Spa services or even an art class. All can be arranged for your group and priced separately.
Here’s how it works! Arrive with your group of 8 on a Tuesday, Thursday, or a Saturday Morning for a Private Cooking Class with Cynthia, plus lunch with wine in the main Maison or courtyard (weather dependant) Afterwards, head over to the Villas for check-in and enjoy the rest of the day and evening, designed as you like it. Complimentary Bonjour Breakfast in the morning and check-out is at 11am. Lots of activities and sites choose from and enjoy with your besties.

Bring a friend or your loved one and STAY at our beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 story Chablis Villa, with a spacious entertaining area and chef kitchen. RELAX and EXPLORE the beautiful 1000 islands region and PAMPER yourselves at our partner Spa, Beauty Inside.
It’s a refreshing mid-week escape and change of pace. If you want to work remotely, we have reliable Wi-Fi and lovely work spaces in each bedroom, plus and a great kitchen island with comfy stools!

Have a relaxing day at Beauty Inside Wellness Spa, Brockville’s premiere beauty and medical aesthetics spa located in the historical downtown. Availability: Bookings are based on the combination of availability – villa and spa services in the 2-night, 3-day time frame. Additional Concierge Services are available to add to your stay. Food Styling & Photography Workshop

Join us for a full day of photography and food styling and learn from these Masters. Ruth and Peter have years of experience creating mouthwatering photos for brands, magazines, cookbooks and pretty much everyone looking for luscious food and drink images of the highest order. The day is an opportunity to discover, learn and get hands-on experience in various settings around the Maison Maitland property. And you’ll be able to build you own lunch too! Suitable for creative or curious participants of various levels of experience with photography and food styling, all being comfortable using their own iPhone or SLR cameras/tripods.
Is this Workshop or you? Suitable for creative or curious participants of various levels of photography and food styling experience. We ask that all participants have familiarity with their equipment (iPhone or SLR cameras/tripods) as this one day session tutorial focuses on a balance of photography and styling in tandem, rather than a deep dive into strictly tech components.
What to Expect: All food items for shooting will be prepared for participants. Morning: Watch and learn from the Masters to help elevate and create your own quality images that narrate a story and create interest or simply capture an occasion. See how to use everyday items applied with common sense techniques + some tips and tricks. Following lunch, everyone will get to create their own shots for Dessert, using foods/props on hand and will receive feedback and tutorials from Ruth and Peter. There will be a maximum of 15 participants, in ensure lots of opportunity for questions and coaching.
Overall, the emphasis will be on using natural lighting, pairing with appropriate props, and building composition. Also learn how to approach sequencing to capture a variety of images, BTS shots and understanding end usage of images (social media, web, print) and creating appropriate crops. And much more!
What to Bring: Your own iPhone or SLR cameras, comfortable shoes, and enthusiasm!

About the Masters
Ruth Gangbar is a food stylist and “culinary collaborator” based in Prince Edward County, ON. Her artful, organic approach is down to earth and inspired by season and source. This relaxed style informs her approach to photo shoots and all things food. Clients include Foodland Ontario, Loblaws, Sobeys, Kraft General Foods, Canada Beef, Kroger, McEwan Fine Foods, Editorial LCBO Food & Drink, Cottage Life, Chatelaine, Canadian Living magazines.
