VILLA TERMS of SERVICE AND HOUSE RULES
These terms and conditions, that may be amended from time to time, apply to our villa accommodations only made available online, through any mobile device, by email, or by telephone. By accessing, browsing, and using our website or any of our applications through whatever platform and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below. These pages, the content, and infrastructure of these pages and the online reservation service (including the facilitation of SQUARE payment service) provided by us on these pages and through the website are owned, operated, and provided by From the Farm Enterprises Inc. and are subject to the terms and conditions set out below. See CANCELLATION policies for Packages and Cooking Classes on their individual pages.
booking
All bookings require full payment in advance. No booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit have been provided by Maison Maitland.
No Guest may re-sell or transfer all or any part of a booking. Maison Maitland reserves the right to cancel any Booking if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that a Guest is in breach of this clause.
Maison Maitland will try to accommodate any request from the Customer to change the Booking Details as is reasonable. Bookings may be canceled up to one week before your stay. (see CANCELLATIONS)
CHARGES
The prices displayed on the website are various per villa per night until a rate is selected. HST will be payable at the prevailing rate applicable at the tax point of the invoice or booking confirmation issued and may change depending on the actual rate and the HST treatment of the goods and services purchased at that date
Minimum 2 night stay (unless explicitly stated in special promotions). Once a rate is selected on the website, the total for your requested stay and/or class shall be displayed on the reservation summary. Prices shall be charged in the local currency of Maison Maitland.
There is a $75 one time cleaning fee.
CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS
In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference; their passport/identity card/driver’s license and a valid credit or debit card. The information above may be requested for each member of your party, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.
Unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation, guests may self-check-in at any time from 3:00 p.m. on the scheduled day of arrival. An entry code will be given, prior to arrival. Outside cameras will record entry and exit times. All villas will he held until 11:59pm on the scheduled day of arrival unless otherwise agreed directly with the management.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask all guests to vacate their villas by 11:00 am. Later check-out times may be possible by prior arrangement with an additional charge and subject to availability. In the absence of such prior arrangement, Maison Maitland reserves the right to charge an additional night’s accommodation at the standard applicable rate for the occupied villa if any Guest fails to check out by the specified time.
Villas are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by Maison Maitland. The Chablis villa has a max occupancy of 4. The Chardonnay villa has a max occupancy of 5.
PAYMENT
We accept the following methods of payment: credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa through our Square platform. At the time of reservation, we will charge the accommodation charges (villa rate, HST and any service charges) for the duration of your stay against your credit card. Other valid forms of payment include etransfers and can be arranged directly with management.
CANCELlATIONs
Reservations cancelled 7 days or more before the check-in date are subject to a full refund, minus a 3% admin charge. Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable.
Where the Customer fails to give sufficient notice of cancellation (7 days) or fails to arrive (no show) at the “Luxury Accommodation”, the entire Booking will be deemed cancelled and the payment in full for the original reservation stands.
Maison Maitland may at any time cancel the Booking without liability if the information provided by the Customer in relation to the Booking is misleading or false (for example in relation to the identity of any Guest or the purpose of the stay)
Very occasionally we may need to cancel your booking. In such circumstances you will be given a full refund, but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.
CARE AND USE OF PROPERTY
Guests are expected leave the villa in good order and to load and start the dishwasher prior to vacating. Guests are expected to place all garbage in the garbage bags provided and keep recycling clean and organized.
A private outdoor patio is provided for each villa’s use and is situated in front of the respective villas. The Outdoor Dining Pavilion on the property’s front park is available to guests that secure the booking via our website and is only available during that pavilion rental “period of time “booked by the guest.
All other areas of the Maison Maitland property are private and are off limits and is not included in the Villa Booking.
Maison Maitland has two (2) active security cameras mounted clearly on the outside of the villas. Guests may not tamper with, remove, or disable any of the cameras.
DAMAGE
We (Maison Maitland) reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit card for any damage incurred by you to your villa or Maison Maitland property at large, during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave. An invoice outlining the charges will be sent to the email provided at booking.
PARKING
Maison Maitland has on site designated parking for each Villa. A maximum of 2 regular size cars per villa. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/Guest’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage however caused.
GUEST BEHAVIOR
Guests are requested to always conduct themselves appropriately and to comply with Maison Maitland procedures and/or requests with regards to conduct and respect for the property of Maison Maitland, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the operating of Maison Maitland, or cause offense to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from Maison Maitland if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case Maison Maitland shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
NO OUTSIDE GUESTS
The Villa will only be occupied only by the people registered to stay at the villa. No outside guests allowed.
NO SMOKING + NO PETS
Guests are not permitted to smoke, including vaping or any other substance, inside villas. Maison Maitland reserves the right to charge a $500 cleaning fee if it is determined that there has been smoking inside the villa. No pets are allowed on the property.
ADULTS ONLY
This is an Adult Only facility. All guests must be 18 years of age or older.
NO DISCRIMINATION
It is the policy of Maison Maitland not to discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or sexual orientation. We believe that we have a duty to our guests to protect them from inappropriate behavior. Guests are expected to adhere to this policy and Maison Maitland may, without incurring any liability to the Guest, immediately remove from the property any person(s) offending against this policy. Should any actions by a Guest be deemed inappropriate by Maison Maitland, or if any inappropriate behavior is brought to the attention of Maison Maitland, we reserve the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the Guest.
FORCE MAJEURE
Maison Maitland accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures. Maison Maitland will, at our discretion, may offer the option to rebook for a different date(s), subject to availability.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Maison Maitland will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left at Maison Maitland.
Maison Maitland will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill, or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of Maison Maitland, its employees, contractor, or agents or otherwise). Maison Maitland’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Agreement.
Nothing contained in the Agreement or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by Maison Maitland’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
WEB SITE INFORMATION
While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the websites, Maison Maitland does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the websites without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or Maison Maitland.
The content of the websites is the copyright of Maison Maitland, and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed, or amended for any other purpose without our prior written consent. Trademarks used on the websites are the property of the respective owners. Hyperlinks to third party websites are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third-party sites. The website is owned and operated by Maison Maitland (From the Farm Enterprises Inc.)
PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used when you visit or make a purchase from www.maisonmaitland.com (the “Site”). When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we and/or SQUARE collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers. email address, and phone number.
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to: Communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk or fraud. We also provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
